Daughter’s notebook went blinky again. Lost wireless connection to the internet. Drives me crazy. Last time this happened, a mere two months ago, I blew up my network trying to fix her notebook’s connection. Damn near took me a week to fix the network and with the help of software.
I said to her, let’s go to the internet and find some solutions because, darling, you ain’t taking down my connection. She rolled her eyes, as usual.
First Night: Her patience lasted about ten minutes. Watching the new show, Heroes, was more important.
Second Night: I made her run the command for ipconfig. The girl has to learn to take care of her own connection problems. Turns out it’s a hardware problem. So I did a search on the net and found an interesting solution. Asked her where was the “clear†button on the notebook. Of course, she didn’t have a clue. Get your manual, I said. By now her patience is hitting ground zero. And me, I’m going la le la la la da.
After identifying the features on the machine, I pushed a button on her notebook. Ta Da. Connection. ::headdesk:: The girl burst out laughing in relief and had the decency to look embarrassed. She’d disabled the wireless adapter unknowingly. Said she wondered why the button lit up in orange. Really, I said, innocently.
I made her give me a big fat kiss on the cheek.
Hm, your daughter sounds much like me, except that I would not even know where my manual is.
Shakes head. LOL
It’s her attitude that gets to me. She becomes this ten years old. Fix this now. Last night, though, that was precious. I think she felt 3 feet tall.
Fix this now
Yup, definitely me and I always wander off while one of my friends fixes my bugs. My attitude is that everything ought to be fixed by pressing a button. Some of my friends have turned white-haired due to my complete ignorance.;D
