Scott Wentworth (Prison Break) is adorable. He has this little boy persona that is so cute.
I’m back at work and free from jury duty. Although I wasn’t happy at first, I must say the process turned out to be very interesting. The law is complicated, contradictory, setup to cover a wide spectrum of issues to use to determine the innocence or guilty nature of the defendant. The burden of proof does lie with the prosecutor and, unfortunately, the case had insufficient evidence.
Amazon Short offered this particular gay story, so I purchased it for .49 cents. What was interesting is the dynamic of gay men dating. I figured men are men, gay, straight, orientation doesn’t matter. Men usually think first with the thing between their legs, instead of with the thing on top of their heads.
Despite the faghag comments and the ten year rule a young gay man supposedly use to judge a partner worthy of his time, gay men want traditions like old fashion values such as dating and getting to know each other before they get intimate. They are just as concern of the affect of slipping between the sheets before the communication and seeing if the other is more than a one night stand.
Interesting.
Am simply glad you have made it through jury duty and are now back to normal. Bet boss is pleased too. ;D
You wouldn’t believe it, but I think he’s still upset. He asked me have I completed a certain report like through October. I stared at him as if he’d lost his mind. Firstly, we would be just closing the previous month’s accounting activity so the report he asked for would not be done. Secondly, I just came back from Jury Duty, so how in the hell could I complete October’s report.
It took me a day to unpack and I heard I did good considering it took most of the employees a week to get completely settle in. The office move did not go smoothly.
Heard he had to roll up his sleeves and go through hundreds of boxes of stored data that couldn’t fit in the storage room they had assigned. Bad planning, which I know he had no part in but still… Don’t blame me if I wasn’t there to help or whatever the hell is his problem.
I will be working late. Have to put in plan get his reports and get him off my back.
…but I think he’s still upset.
You know I am so not surprised. Bosses are good at blanking out everything that gets in their way of thinking.
From what you say, it wasn’t too bad you were not around because the office move has already been completed.Again I am not surprised that move did not go smooth. It’s much a matter of Murphy’s Law. In honesty, I am dreading our office move in Feb/March. *sigh*
Will keep my fingers crossed for you and hope your working late will not take too long.
He’s finally talking to me without the glare in the eyes. It took him almost a week. My former officemates confirmed my suspicion and said he was very angry. I told my aunt if that man speaks to me about doing my civic duty, I couldn’t be held accountable for my response. Thank god, it didn’t come to that point. We’d already tested our boundaries of tolerance. Remember.
Good luck on your move to the new offices. I heard our first week was horrible, computers offline, phone system not working, etc. I like the new offices and the colors are pretty and subtle. Also, I now have my own office but miss my officemates.
I well remember your boundary testing. He sounds such a brat. I am surprised he had not stamped his foot.
;D
Thanks for your good wishes for our move and what you tell me about yours does not bode well. I have the vision that ours may even be worse. After all, we are one huge department called “internal services” and one part is Computer and Internet maintenance. I can foresee chaoes in town hall. *g*
For 16 years I have had my own office and I love it. It is so much better to work without interruptions.
