For something different, I love Creed. Well, shit, I love most music even marching band stuff. I used to play marching band stuff. The one genre I had a difficult time with is Opera. Inflicting Opera on an adolescent is cruel and unusual punishment. It took me years to heal myself, barely.

Smoking

This has been one interesting week. I’m more calmer today than I was earlier this week when I posted my last entry. Yesterday was a turning point for me. Today, however, I hurt.

What happened last weekend. I realized I’ve been smoking almost two packs of cigarettes per day since Friday. When I went to the store on Sunday to buy more, I hadn’t known what I was doing until I bought more cigarettes and I started mentally counting the little buggers. Sunday night I had the dream that I’m not sure was a dream or not, or whatever. I couldn’t move my body for the shooting pain going down my arm. Yet, when I came fully awake my arm was aching and wasn’t in this enormous pain.

I don’t know what the hell happened but by Monday morning, I went from over 20 cigarettes to three per day. I walked around in a daze for the next couple of days, while my body is going through this metamorphosis and my mind is spacey as hell. I felt as though I was operating outside of my body.

Today, my mind is lucid. I freaking hurt, though. My stomach has been cramping up. My throat feels closed up. It hasn’t stop me from complaining to anyone listening that I wanted a cigarette. I know I can’t go cold turkey but I’m determined to stop smoking. Tomorrow, I’m going to go without.

I had the strangest dream this weekend. My whole right arm was in excruciating pain. I couldn’t move out of the bed. Honestly, I don’t know if it was real or not. I was asleep, I think. I just know it was the weirdest thing and it scared the bejeesus out of me.

I was suppose to attend a gathering. I apologize. I’m going to sign up for the con in April. I do want to see everyone.

Did anyone watch Battlestar Galactica? Must check out the discussion groups on LJ. I’m really interesting in what people thought of Kara and Duella. I’m trying to wrap my mind around the idea that Kara maybe….

Ah…I’m basking in the joy of Jake Gyllenhaal. He was awesome as the host to SNL. The Dreamgirl monologue was hilarious. He’s just adorable. Gave a shout out to what he considers his “unique fan base.” Brokeback Mountain, please. :-)

The Eagles lost to the Saints. They are out of the playoffs. They did well. Very good, coming from a 5/6 rating and the lost of Donovan, the quarterback. Garcia, as Donovan’s replacement, should be commended for a job well done.

Good Movies Piss Me Off

Cold Mountain

Would this movie had been any less stunning if they had changed the freaking ending.

I do not need for movies to emulate the realities of the today.

What is the deal? What happened to the struggle, overcoming obstacles, and the end resulting in living happily ever after.

Well, yeah, I’m tired of seeing characters I have enjoyed be done away with. I say to heck with realities. I can turn on the news and watch death any moment of the day.

I guess I’ll go and watch POTC 2. At least that movie guarantees a whole lot of fun, foolery, and a heavily mascara wearing Jack Sparrow.
