Ah…I’m basking in the joy of Jake Gyllenhaal. He was awesome as the host to SNL. The Dreamgirl monologue was hilarious. He’s just adorable. Gave a shout out to what he considers his “unique fan base.” Brokeback Mountain, please.
Check it out.
ETA: Jake in a dress is something that can’t be missed. hee!
The Eagles lost to the Saints. They are out of the playoffs. They did well. Very good, coming from a 5/6 rating and the lost of Donovan, the quarterback. Garcia, as Donovan’s replacement, should be commended for a job well done.
Wow. They took this video down for copyright infringement. :grumble:
I read that might happened. NBC may put up an official vid at youtube. In the meantime, go to this page and read the 01/14/07 posting. There’s a link to several vids.

Thanks, Nicci! I just love this.
Was that skit hilarious or what. LOL I damn near fell off my chair when he started ripping off the suit jacket. And the size of his arms, whoa baby, I think I should be too old but hell, an old gal can appreciate a gorgeous body. Oh yeah, he sings too!
T, are you still running the Lexslash site and writing Clark/Lex. I sure miss the old days in Highlander fandom.
>>Was that skit hilarious or what.
Funniest thing evah. LOL And you’re never too old to appreciate the gorgeousness.
>>are you still running the Lexslash site
I still have the website, and the Lexslash yahoogroup, but I stopped watching Smallville in the middle of…S3? S2? And I stopped updating the website soon after. Once the website went fallow, and I stopped holding contests and producing projects, the yahoogroup started to die down. Then, there was a mass migration to livejournal that basically killed all the yahoogroups I belonged to, though no one unsubbed from the yahoogroups. So for a good two years, the yahoogroup has been dead, but it still has over 950 members. The website is still up, but I haven’t updated it for ages.
I stopped writing for a long time. I lurked a bit in an anime fandom called Weiss Kreuz, and wote a few stories there, and was into reading LotR Aragorn/Legolas. I basically spent two, two and a half years just lurking. I finally migrated to livejournal…last year I think, but I never really did anything with the space.
This past summer, I had a really bad episode with my back, and was in bed for three weeks. During that time, I stumbled into Superman/Batman slash, and since I collected comics as a kid, I jumped in with both feet. LOL I actually started writing with a vengence, and have been able to become more prolific and consistent over the past eight months.
Because Superman/Batman and Clark Kent is related to Smallville, my interest in that kick started my interest in the TV show again. I started watching SV this season, and have written some Superman/Batman stories that are like a hybrid crossover with Smallville. I don’t write CLex anyone as a real “pairing”, though. I only write Lex as the person who Clark needs to get over so he can be with Bruce Wayne. LOL
I’ve been…thinking about Highlander lately. I respect that the fandom still seems to be active, and am a little nostalgic for the old days. I even downloaded the Methos season from a torrent and was watching bits and pieces. I was thinking about, maybe, writing something in that fandom again. I believe a new Highlander movie is coming out in February, and though I’m sure it’ll be crap, it might start the juices going. LOL The very same people seem to still be around there…
When did you resurface? Was it only prompted by Brokeback, and what do you think you’ll be doing in the future?
I remember Lexslash Yahoo group. It seems so long ago. I lost interest in SV probably around the same time as you and got caught up in CSI. I watched one SV ep this year. Lex and Lana – Nooooooooo!!!!!!!
It’s no surprise you crossed over to Superman/Batman slash. It’s a natural order of progression, I think. I do enjoy reading Lex/Bruce or Lex/Bruce/Clark.
I wasn’t exactly away from fandom. Started a new journal for personal reasons and planted myself in BBM fandom and waited for the film to air in the theaters.
I didn’t know another HL movie is due out soon. Aren’t Adrian and Peter getting long in the tooth to play the immortal sons. I can just about guarantee the movie will be awful. They could never manage to transfer the spirit in the TV series over to filming.
Would you believe I took out my Witchblade tapes and watched a couple of episodes. I was thinking about writing another story in the fandom. But have to admit I’m very wired to BBM and Jake/Heath RPS when it comes to writing.
Let’s see, I’m watching Supernatural, SGA Atlantis (when it’s on,) Battlestar Galactica, and Lost.
I’m glad you’re back to writing. You do it so well.
>>I watched one SV ep this year. Lex and Lana – Nooooooooo!!!!!!!
The Lex/Lana thing is absolutely ridiculous. I fast forward through them, and it’s really a shame because I really like Michael Rosenbaum.
>>I didn’t know another HL movie is due out soon. Aren’t Adrian and Peter getting long in the tooth to play the immortal sons.
LOL, that’s exactly what I said. But I saw some current pictures of Adrian Paul, and surprisingly, he looks good. He’s lost some weight, or something, so he looks about the same, more or less. LOL
I saw Peter Wingfield on The L Word’s season premiere and he looks mostly the same. It’s really surprising how well maintained they are, but then, actors have no excuse not to be. LOL
>>Would you believe I took out my Witchblade tapes and watched a couple of episodes.
That’s so funny because I was missing WB a few weeks back and checked to see if they had finally released the DVDs (of course not) and then managed to find a torrent and downloaded both seasons. Must have been the WB mojo that had us run into each other again. LOL I see on your website that you finished quite a few WB stories. I look forward to reading them.
I think I actually put writing a WB story on my fandom resolutions list this year, LOL, so we’ll see…
>>Let’s see, I’m watching Supernatural, SGA Atlantis (when it’s on,) Battlestar Galactica, and Lost.
Our interests align!
I don’t watch SGA regularly, but I have watched some of it. I love BSG and I’ve gotten into SPN this season. I’ve been following Lost, but that show can get frustrating. LOL Not that I’d miss it, but it is..frustrating.
>>I’m glad you’re back to writing. You do it so well.
LOL, I don’t know about that but I do try!
