You are alive, you are here. YAY
Three cheers for hyponasty, when it brought you back to lj land. I have been missing you.
*hugleses*
Until a few years ago I seriously believed the pronunciation for misled sounded like Mye’zuld, accent on the first syllable.
Until I said it in front of friends.
I guess I was misled as to the pronunciation. ;D Of course, we pronounce many things differently in the South.
Joan
Heehee, pronunciations are funny. Especially when it comes to foreign languages. I once heard an Englishman say “Champs-Élysées”. It was just hilarious!
And it’s good to see you! *hugs*
Yes, alive. How are you? I’m in and out of here like a fly. I miss you, too. Hugs You!!

I keep staring at your icon.
I love hearing accents. Southern accents are one of my favorites. One week in the South, and I’m right there.
It’s high time you appeared for a bit longer.
I’m fine (not counting my latest lj post)
Hope to get in touch with you a bit longer soon.
How’s cigarettes?
Waving, hi. It’s good seeing you too.
I’m still a weekend smoker. My doctor was very, very happy. I think that’s the first time she’s smiled at me. She wants me to wear a patch on the weekend, says I’ve too much time on my hands.
What happened? I’m going to your last post.
Glad you like the icon. Me, too.
I grew up in Florida with parents from Tennessee and Oklahoma (about 60 miles from Childress, TX) but lost most of the accent, unless I’m angry. Then it ALL comes back. My kids know to watch out if i start saying, “Ah moan (Gitcha, tellya, etc.. they run!) Hubby from Brooklyn thinks it’s a joke. Ah moan learn that one to believe me one day. ;D
But I can speak Southern or Okie all day long, too, if I want. I pick up the sounds of the area I’m in.
Feel free to stare at my icon as long as you want.

I am very pleased to hear that you are doing so well during the week. Small wonder your doctor smiled at you.
Now, if you were writing over the weekend, you would not need a patch. *g* Still, I think her idea is not too bad and may indeed help.
Keep at it.
Btw, I will be going on holidays in May/June. If you would like a postcard and trust me with your address, then drop me a line. I’ll be only too pleased to send you one, either from Hampshire (Portsmouth) or Dorset.
*enjoys the goodness*
Feel free to stare at my icon as long as you want.
Hee! How about we both stare at our icons.
My parents are from Mississippi and North Carolina. Now imagine adding in a Yankee accent. That’s one hell of a combination. LOL
You lucky person. I’m jealous. Will you be away the entire May and June? I’ll email the addy to you.
Dear me, no. I could not afford this as I have to pay the care service too. *sigh*
Me and the bears will be away from May 18th to June 12th. The boys are already excited because one of the towns I will stay in has a teddybear museum.
Will be looking forward to your mail.
