Heroes: Out of Time

Heroes Out of Time episode was best so far this season. At last, we get continuity and a few answers such as who is Adam Monroe; although to be perfectly honest, it was not a surprise that Adam turned out to be Takezo Kensei.

We can now add immortality to the powers of the Heroes. Which begs the question, could Claire also be immortal? She shares the same power as Kensei. Or has Kensei regenerative power mutated into something more powerful.

I like this episode. It brought back our beloved characters of last season – Nathan, Peter, Nikki, Matt, Mohinder, Ando, Claire, Bennett, and Hiro. I sort of forgive the writers for the long and drawn Hiro’s storyline. We have a reason for Kensei aka Adam hostile attitude. Betrayal by Hiro has caused Kensei’s mind to warp to darkness. He was promised the gift of the Swordsmith’s daughter’s hand, a legend full of glory and goodness according to Hiro. What he received was betrayal by Hiro, someone he thought he could trust. Rejection by the woman he loved.

Now he wants the world to pay for his 400 years old pain.

Sounds pretty trivial and kind of lame. There must be more to this Adam/Kensei story.

We can start with the point according to Bob, that Adam was instrumental in bringing together the Company of Twelve. Linderman was his minion. Linderman promoted Nathan rise in politics. He also insisted that Peter as the exploding man to cause NY devastation, death, and chaos. If the explosion happened as per the plan, Nathan would rise to the occasion, leading the people similar to what Mayor Rudy Giuliani did for NY after 911.

Nathan didn’t rock on with the original plan. Nathan and Peter saved NY.

I’m of the belief what was Linderman’s plan was actually developed by Adam. I find it interesting Angela went along with the plan willing to sacrifice her beloved son, Peter.

Who is this Adam Monroe? Why did they have Nathan believe Peter was dead? Why was it necessary to cause Peter to lose his memories? Peter should have shown up in Montreal to meet Adam. Something or someone interfered and Peter was diverted to Ireland with a lost of memory, chained up in a container.

There are many unanswered questions. They keep me watching the show even if the episodes are at times, lackluster. I hope next week’s episode will be just as good as Out of Time.

I can’t resist posting a picture of Nathan Petrelli.  The almost bald guy is Bob in case you didn’t know.  Looking good, Nate.
