Just my luck, huh. I re-do the website for Warrick Brown (G. Dourdan) and he’s leaving the show. May 15 will more likely be his last day.
It was Gary’s decision to leave but CSB has already issued a cast replacement. Someone in their 20s or 30s…to take on the role of Ray Santoro, a “handsome, smart and athletic” CSI who takes on the graveyard shift at the crime lab. So says the article.
William Peterson is returning for the 9th season in a reduced number of shows.
I must admit, Gris is first and foremost the reason why I ever watched the show. With him showing up in a small number of ep, I don’t know, the change may affect the ratings.

I’m honestly surprised that Peterson stayed as long as he had… there’d been talk even a couple of years ago.
I really don’t know how LV stacks up against Miami and NY, but Grissom is CSI. So, I’m kind of curious of how they will handle the times he won’t be in an episode and how his absence will affect the show. I saw the eps where Liev Schrieber (sp ??) did three eps while Grissom had gone off to somewhere. He was pretty darn good. Too bad they killed off his character at the end. I wouldn’t mind having Liev replace Grissom for a bit.
Hee, I’m murdering this guy’s name. I think of Liev as Naomi Watts SO.
I always thought that the moment a member of the original cast left they should just quit already. And when the person who is the show won’t be there most of the time? Yeah. I think the ninth season could very well be the show’s last. I’m not sure I even want to watch it without Gary myself. *pouts*

I feel you. Losing Sara wasn’t a big deal. But Warrick, the show just won’t be the same. We do have fanfic, and new canon – finding Warrick.

It is indeed! It’s the last season I watched (I always wait until the DVD release) and I only got around to watching it recently and the amount of W/N was an unexpected, but very pleasant, surprise.
