I Didn’t Know That

CSI just sucker punch me. Here I thought I was done, done, done and what do they do. They add Larry Fishburne to the roll call to replace Gil Grissom. OMG. The man who is Morpheus, who is Othello. A talented actor I don’t see enough of in movies. I think he will be starting the show in December.

Oh, yes, he’s married to to Mal, (Gina Torres) Firefly, who is absolutely stunning. He was also the voice of the Silver Surfer. [info] tmelange, did you know this? How come I don’t pay attention.

Can’t wait and I truly hope his presence on CSI will keep the showing going because really, Gil Grissom leaving was really a downer.

Great!

As Dr. Raymond Langston, a former pathologist who is now a consultant to the Las Vegas crime scene investigators.

Larry and his wife, Gina.

Heroes Ep

Heroes is making me frakking crazy. Screw saving the cheerleader. They need to save my brains.

Mohinder, man, I just can’t stand you.

Making you the bad guy is really, really wrong. Harvesting bodies as in Ripley’s Alien is just sick.

Nikki, Tracy, whatever, without Micah, you’ve lost the thrill.
Matt on a sabbatical out in the desert or Africa, whatever, is just wrong.
Peter and Nathan apart is just wrong.
Hiro stabbing Ando with a sword is terribly wrong.
Claire, your gullibility is amazing and you need to grow up.

I think I’ve hit on what is bothering me the most about this season – they’ve lost the hope, the sacrificing for family, the purpose of the good trumpeting over evil.

The water is muddied with this heroes vs villians concept and they are dropping the viewers (me) in this big pool of gray, gray, gray. Because darn if I know who is good and who is bad, and what is suppose to be real and what isn’t. Too many dreamscapes for me. Did Ando die? And that is the other thing, people on this show die and arise from the ashes like it’s a genetic code of its own.

If heroes vs villians turn out to be the natural vs man-made heroes, respectively, I am going to scream foul, big time.

So Mr. Petrelli is alive. Did you really think I would swoon and say, OMG. Really.

CSI Season Premiere – I Am Happy

So much love for CSI tonight.

the alleyway, hearing the gunshot, and finding Warrick. Holding Warrick close, trying to staunch the bleeding.

Sara coming back and telling Gil what he already knew. Warrick loved Gil and Gil loved Warrick.

Warrick in the video talking about the one person he admired, that stood up as a role model for him despite the lost of his parents at an young age. The person that gave him inspiration, motivation, a beacon of morality, confidence. We never heard him say who that person was but we knew as Grissom knew Warrick was talking about him. The look on Grissom’s face watching the video, amazed and sad.

How the team pulled together to focus on finding Warrick’s murderer, even Ecklie.

Nick’s grace and strength in holding back but letting loose anyway. Tasting desperately the hate and desire to kill McKeen, to shoot him dead on the spot. Pulling back at the last minute. McKeen will spend the rest of his life in prison for not one murder but two.

Gil’s quiet breakdown while giving the eulogy at Warrick’s funeral. You knew just how much he’d cared for Warrick.

The episode was quiet but effective, not emotionally overdrawn. But Gil, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him as torn apart as he was tonight.
