Kindle or Netbook

Happy New Year!

WOW, the wind is gusting up to 50/55 miles an hour around here. Shopping carts are all over the parking lot. Power outages are everywhere. Snow let loose fast and furious and then disappears as if it never happened. 2008 is going out with a bang. *gg*

Brrr!

Now for the “where have I been, and I need to keep abreast of the current happenings.”

So glad I didn’t purchase the Kindle as planned.

Going from 15 degrees to 50 degrees in 24 hours flat is not good for the soul.

Movie Review: Seven Pounds

willsmith

It’s highly unusual for me to attend a movie theater on a major holiday like Christmas. I normally spend this blessed day with family and friends, eating merrily, participating in good discussions, and reminiscing on past events.

So when a friend invited me out to see Seven Pounds at the movies, I thought, okay, this is weird. I explained to the family this year I was taking a detour, more like hit and run. Enjoy dinner and I see you later type.

Writing

I’m really pleased with the result of my new WP website and with the consolidation of my old WP websites into one. I adore the 2Color theme by Milo, a gifted graphic designer who makes not the run-of-the-mill type WP themes. Her themes are very creative and they fit my purpose just great.

Now that the website issue is gone, I feel the need to write again. Jake and Heath are talking to me again. It has been awhile, particularly, since the death of Heath Ledger. I’ve decided to use LJ 100_Situation Prompt Table to jumpstart my writing.

The table is linked here.

My New Year resolution is to stick to one project at a time instead of the typical jumping around I do from one fandom to another. Let’s see how far I can go.

I Shall Weep

Sadly, my choice for the final cylon is unlikely.  Gaeta is coming up strong as the primary contender. Will the choice shock?  Not as the Gaeta we know, but as a stranger with a familiar face.

You Will Know The Truth

I went in with the idea the “You will Know the Truth” clue factory at Scifi site is about the final cylon. Of course, it was a natural reflection since lot of the fans including myself is focusing on the final fiver.

The idea eventually dawned on me; this isn’t simply about the final cylon but the purpose of the clue factory. It is exactly how the site is named. Knowing the truth – about the people and events of Battlestar Galactica.

The latest clue, up on Scifi, is startling, to me. You must check it out and form your opinion. My own feelings are turning a bit outward. Embracing the idea the final fiver may be a precursor to something bigger. The questions we have that go back to the very beginning, not just at the start of the series.
