This episode will go down as one of my least favorites. The good parts aired during the preview. I wish they wouldn’t do that. Become a bit more selective in the editing process. I would have settled for Boomer and Ellen appearing in the door of the raptor without adding the reactions from the others.
There were a few good moments:
Chief, the scoundrel. He gave up Boomer with the drop of the hat, after he tells her it was “nice seeing you again.” Now let’s haul your butt to the brig because there was no question Adama would react exactly as he did. It was cool how Galen scoped out Boomer up close, giving her the eye, and watching the defiant expression on Boomer’s face as she stared at Galen. Did Galen make the eights. At least his taste in women is consistent (Tory is as physically exotic as Boomer.) Callie just never fitted the profile.
Hotdog: How many dead women are out there.
Tigh and Ellen: Ma and Pa Kettle. Something about the way Ellen ran her hands down the faces of the F5. Her motherly instinct is strong. Her rage at Caprica reminds me of how much Cavil maybe just like his mother. Petty, much. Jealous, much. But it is understandable and it hurts when the one person she has loved, albeit an explosive relationship, for thousands of years moves on and creates life with another woman. Something Ellen is incapable of doing, getting pregnant and having Saul’s children. Caprica, who really looks something like Ellen. Is there a trend here between the F5 and their creations. Ellen could never experienced the bond a pregnancy creates between man and woman. She will never experience the loss of that bond either. And I can’t imagine how either one will move forward, along with Caprica, in the future, thinking on her part upsetting Caprica. But no, Ellen did not caused the miscarriage.
Has there ever been a time Bill didn’t have a flask glued to his back pocket? Do they have an AA program aboard the fleet?
If someone else told it, the emphasis of Five survivors versus 50,000 would not have been lost on Roslin. The comparison is profound. No one is acknowledging that it is the Centurions that have destroyed both worlds, cylon and human.
Bill and Saul. LOL! BSG brought on the slash. Gave fodder to the fan fic writers. Enough said.
Head Six is back, thank you. I miss Head Six. Is she pregnant, though? Will have to re-watch the scene closely.
Bill and Saul, Basestar and Battlestar, Helo and Sharon (please bring them back,) human and cylon. Hera is the key and the reason why Caprica’s baby had to die. Pure cylon cannot survive. Pure human cannot survive. It will the combination of the two, a new species, that will move the universe to another place.
