FAF4 Movie: It was great

Fast and Furious was awesome, so, so much better than I would’ve imagined.  Fast cars, extraordinary races using up to date GPS technology, wOOt.  The plot was really decent.  Had me and my movie companions on the edge of our seats.  I so have a kink for fast cars.

Updated news:  FAF4 grossed 72.5 millions this weekend.

Spoiler ahead

My favorite scenes:

  • Mia asking Brian why did he let Dom go free the first time.  Brian couldn’t answer.  But we know the answer.  He loves Dom. As simple as that.
  • Mia interesting take on Dom and Brian.  Dom the criminal is really the good guy.  Brian the cop is the bad guy.  Yin and Yang, light and dark, two halves.
  • Brian claiming he really beat Dom in the car race.  Dom, later, asking him did he hit his head.  Brian’s souped up GTS funded by thousands of dollars of gov’t money and Brian still couldn’t beat Dom.  It’s all in the talent.
  • All the car racing, from the beginning to the end.  That run through Mexico under mountains was awesome.
  • Brian walking out of the courtroom leaving Mia there to hear the result of the judgment.  Man, you know, another change will be coming about for Brian, again.  A decision is made without us knowing the exact detail.  We just know who will be the beneficiary of Brian’s decision.  We know who’s important to Brian.
  • Dom discovery of how Letty got involved with Braga and crew.  Sad.  Even sadder when Brian in grief apologizes and tells Dom why she did it after some serious hits to the body.

faf4-1

faf4-5

FAF4 is all about family.  Revenge, protection, maintaining what is left of it.   Leon and Vince maybe gone (I miss them.)  Brian is without a doubt part of Dom’s family, despite the fact he is a cop.  The intensity dancing over them in the first film is not quite the same as in FAF4.  They are older.  They have respect for each other, one on the bad side, the other on the good side.  Dom knows he can depend on the cop Brian.  Brian knows Dom is there for him.  They are family.  And you know, Dom and Brian together is like the smooth taste of wine.  Tart and sweet.  Delicious.

    Hi!
    I love your review.
Dom and Brian have a lot of scenes together?
Is it good for fans of Dom and Brian?
And is the movie heavy on romance or like the first one not so much.
    Thanks.

      Hello,

Not wanting to spoil you, but there is a little romance. FAF4 is an action movie, and yes Dom and Brian have quite a few scenes together. Yeah, I know I keep saying the movie is good. Was talking about it at work today. If you haven’t seen it yet, give it try.
