“V” For Voootiful

Scifi shows

I tried, tried, tried. Usually I’m easy, you know. Heroes, whaaaaa! Has finally lost its appeal. The writers wrote a revisionist ep of when Charlie died. Watched it, wished she’d stayed dead. Prayed they would ship Hiro back to the future. Instead, I died, metaphorically speaking. So boring.

I’m desperate for good Scifi shows. Flash Forward seems interesting, still trying to catch up to the current ep.  The good:  they have Jack Davenport, Captain Norrington of POTC.

V

“V” Premiered last night. Beautiful people with their gorgeous leader. Luring us in with its goodwill messages. Okay. So do you know what lies underneath the glowing skin. The pilot much better than SGU could ever claim. So I’m in for the remaining four episodes.

Have recommendations for good TV. Tell me about them.

TNT Picks up Southland, What about Dark Blue?

I am happy TNT picked up Southland, a cancelled NBC show. I saw one episode and meant to put it on my list of shows to watch. However, and I do mean a big however. I want to know if adding Southland to the schedule will affect Dark Blue’s changes for renewal.

I have invested far more time in Dark Blue. I like the show. It’s edginess, questionable ethics, the good guys hanging on the border of criminality. I really enjoy seeing a positive relationship between newlyweds Ty and Melissa and wonder how long the honeymoon will lasts, until Ty’s undercover work begins to weigh heavily on the lovebirds.

I like Dylan McDermott as Carter Shaw who let his job ruined his marriage and was so deep undercover he juggled between his real marriage and a fake relationship with another family that apparently seemed all real.

If TNT can manage both shows, I am all for it. But please give Dark Blue another chance. It was there first and deserves a second season.

Catch up with Dark Blue on Wednesdays night at 11 PM. The re-airing of the first season. Show your love by signing up for the email reminder of when episodes will air.

BSG: The Plan & Picspam

I don’t know about other fans, but I enjoyed watching Ron Moore’s latest incarnation, BSG The Plan.
