The statement isn’t extraordinary but is a “fact of life”. You live and you die. He said, though, as consolation to himself and to the family, trying to convey comfort when his own heart is breaking. Watching life ebb slowly away especially when the person is his wife and our mother is rather painful.
Because I had to see them playing here on my blog, the song is “One,” another Metallica cover song. The mashup of heavy metal and classical sound is freaking amazing.
