The things they do to my once beloved show, CSI Las Vegas

Laurence Fishburne is calling it quits on CSI.  He will not be returning to the lineup in the fall.  No surprise to the show’s producers.  Laurence is an accomplished film actor, producer, director, and writer.  They have known Laurence did not plan for a long tenure in TV land.

I love Laurence’s acting, but will confess I adore William Peterson’s Gil Grissom.  The show hasn’t been the same for me since William Peterson and Gary Dourdan left CSI Las Vegas.  No fault of LF.  My SO actually enjoyed watching him on CSI.  For me, I can’t think of anyone who can replace Gil Grissom.

Watch for LF’s upcoming movie, Contagion.  He is part of a star-filled cast that includes Matt Damon as the lead.  Contagion is scheduled for release in October 2011.

And speaking of…

What the heck is his problem?

A couple weeks back, Gary Dourdan was arrested for possession of various illegal drugs.  The arrest came about when he hit two parked cars.

Sigh.  I want to feel bad for him.  He had such a promising career on CSI.  Part of a well honed assembly cast and the chemistry between them made CSI awesome back in the day.

Whatever his problem, drugs is obvious not the answer.  He should leave Tinsel Town.  Move to Tibet.  Move to a mountain.  Anywhere other than Hollywood and LA.  Seek help and get clean for good.  Stop wasting potential talent.

Oh. The. Irony.

So yes, I did see this movie when it aired, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.  The reason why?  It had Sean Connery, whom I adore as an actor and my favorite kiss ass operative, Peta Wilson.  I just discover one of the co-stars in the movie along with Peta.  I laughed, laughed, laughed, it was just too funny.  Shane West, playing the part of Tom Sawyer.  A very young looking and oh so pretty Shane West.

Happy New Year and Paul Walker

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A decade is gone, a new one’s starting.  New year 2000 brought in the Y2K Millennium.  I remember sitting in my office on the first day of that new year, testing the system I managed and crossing my fingers for all the efforts we undertook to make the conversion to a four-digit year code.  So much hoopla.  The world is going to end.  All systems will crash and burn.  Nothing happened.  But, something else did.  A change in my world – work related – that will have a far reaching impact on me and how I viewed the world.

Let’s hope the new decade bring you and me more stability, happiness, a calming down of sort where we can breath easily for a little while.

Let’s begin with Paul Walker, yummy.  He sort of fell in my lap while surfing Just Jared.  Isn’t he lovely.

Who do you think looks better.  Brad Pitt or Paul Walker.  And no, I am not hunting for a pic of Brad Pitt.  :-)

Michael and Janet Jackson Vids

Found on YouTube.  MJ at his final rehearsal two days before.  I can hardly believe this twirling energetic man is gone and he was as frail as the news claimed.   I’m glad this vid exists.  I want to remember MJ doing what he’s best at.  Dancing and singing, kicking out the energy.    RIP

If I had to pick a Jackson to carry the torch,  it would be Janet. Loved her Rhythm Nation album.

I scream when this video came out.  So excited to see Michael and Janet together.  Waited for more vids like that one but sadly, it never happened that I know of.    They were awesome together.  Loved the similar dance moves.  The title of the song so suits them.  Michael and Janet living life their way.

This is a remix of their song Scream.  It’s great.  But if you want a better quality video, go to YouTube.

Seriously, we will not know exactly, not for a while what caused Michael’s death.  Speculations are abound true enough.   A year and half ago, Heath Ledger passed away from an overdose of prescription medicine.  It was sad and shocky day for me.  Now supposedly prescription medicine may have played a part in Michael’s death.

Someone should be held accountable.  Money and wealth should never be a deterrent to the obligations of the trade.  Doctors’ obligations are to save lives,  not destroy them.

Worth It

Remember the question I had of whether or not to try the netbook or the kindle, because you know, everyone deserve to buy themselves a gift. I got the Kindle and I am loving it. Ten years worth of fan fic will be converted over to the Kindle. All located in one handy place. Wouldn’t it be nice if the Free Library offer to rent books in the ebook format.

I am still flying high from seeing FAF4 Dom and Brian. Hee.

Who is your favorite, Van Diesel or Paul Walker.
