They have narrowed down the character base to a tight cast. I like this format a lot. You get more bang for your money with centralizing the characters and concentrating on a couple of storylines instead of a dozen.
Isabelle – I’m surprised more people (well I have read a few comments here and there) disliked this character. I don’t know what some expected. But hey, when you grow from infant into adulthood in a matter of hours. There isn’t much room for teaching socialization skills, ethics and morality. Reading this stuff from books isn’t going to do it especially when Isabelle chooses the subject she’s most interested in. This girl is operating on pure abstract and power that have gone straight to her head. She is obviously dangerous to humanity, the 4400 as well as present day people.
I don’t believe for a minute she gave up all intel to Ryland. This girl is playing the devil’s advocate to benefit her own purposes.
Tom – It was tense for a while but I kept my faith he wouldn’t cross the line and be in Ryland’s debt forever. Tom has a big purpose in the 4400 and right now I think of him as the savior against Isabelle. How he’s going to manage it I have no idea.
Alana – Sorry to see her go. She was, though, a hindrance to Tom, a road to control Tom. He would have eventually become ineffective in his duties with Alana becoming deeply involved in the 4400 organization.
Shawn, Shawn. You let your manhood get the better of you and now you’re stuck with a sucky life. No woman for you unless it’s Isabelle. How does it feel going to bed with fear?
I miss Maia, Kyle, Kyle’s brother and mother, Lily, and especially Jordan. These are the characters that initially made 4400 interesting. I want their storyline to come back on board, yeah, I know Lily is supposedly dead. Jordan to me is another possible key to controlling Isabelle. He knew what she was before she was born. The question is how much does he knows. When will he return from the undead.
