PL Nunn’s Smallville Fiction

I don’t know how you feel about fan fiction.  Personally, I love it.  Well, it’s obvious since I do on an occasion write fanfiction.  There are some gorgeous fanfiction writers in fandom.  Some have the talent to write professionally.  They can take their ideals of the characters from the original source and bring them to life.

PL Nunn is one of those writers.  This writer’s Smallville stories are fantastic.  It’s mostly slash of the Clark/Lex pairing.  It’s definitely more than erotica.  These stories contain well-written characters that are recognizable from the original source.  They are plotted with action, conflict, and of course, romance.  PL Nunn’s Lex voice is awesome.

Readers of MM Romance might enjoy and might want to try PL Nunn Smallville fiction.  I would start with this series, Reciprocation, Give and Take, Quality Time, and the latest story in the series, Emergence.

Brevity 35: Kirsten Clodfelter

Brevity 35: Kirsten Clodfelter.

“There Was a Moment to Turn Back,” by Kirsten Clodfelter is beautiful and haunting, depicting a common theme of dysfunction between couples.

Master and Commander Rec

I’m reading ‘s Five Things That Never Happened To Aubrey & Maturin
Five: The World Turned Upside Down.

What a hoot and so delicious. Just imagine Jack Aubrey as a woman, who is in command of his masculine mindset and nature but physically a woman.

Astolat’s writing is superb. I could hear POB in her words. It’s a must read if you like Master and Commander fanfic. It’s a genderfuck (astolat’s word) done with intelligent and yet very enjoyable.

Happy Halloween!

I posted my Jake and Heath story to several BBM communities. Also, I changed the title to A Simple Request.

A Simple Request – Part One

A Simple Request – Part Two

E – don’t shoot me. :-)

After years and years of reporting in for Jury Duty, they finally selected me for a trial. I’m not thrilled but one must do their duty to God and Country. My boss isn’t happy about it. We still have to finish the financial audit. We just moved into new office space and I have yet stepped inside my new office, one I will be sharing with no one unless something happens while I am away at jury duty. Man, I will be working plenty of overtime when the trial is over. They say it will be for a few days but if I had to go by the way they selected the jury, it may go on forever. (:-

I went to Borders today and purchased three books — “The Road” and “Blood Meridian” by Cormac McCarthy and, “Bad Dirt” by Annie Proulx. Bad Dirt is the sequel to Close Range: Wyoming Stories, which included Brokeback Mountain. I’ve heard Bad Dirt isn’t nearly as good as Close Range but I enjoy AP writing so I’m giving it a chance. First up is Blood Meridian because I’m way curious about Cormac McCarthy, the writer.
